Celebrating the Life of Richard “Ricky Rugby” Wilhelm

Richard “Ricky Rugby” Wilhelm passed away Saturday, January 25, 2025.

He was born on January 20, 1954, to Joseph Wilhelm and Mary Schwartz Wilhelm Weierbach. He was a 1971 graduate of Lower Dauphin High School and served four years in the U.S. Navy. Rick retired from Derry Township Municipal Authority in 2018.

He was preceded in death by his father, mother, sister Kate, and beautiful daughter Stacy.

Rick is survived by his grandchildren Christian and Kamryn Phaby, sister and brother-in-law Pat and John Alifano, brother and sister-in-law Jeff and Maria Wilhelm, brother and sister-in-law Joe and Angela Wilhelm, and many extended family members.

His joyful spirit and ability to light up a room with his grin are going to be remembered and missed by many.

He loved rugby, having played with the Harrisburg Rugby Club, cribbage, running, golf, dancing, and so much more. Rick was a man who loved life.

He spent the last four years living at Ecumenical. Friends were made. Thank you so much to Dawn, Renee and other kind staff in Buildings 3 and 1. A special thank you to LifeSong Hospice, Amber and Shemeilia and dear friends, Dave, Donna and Mike who went the distance with their friend.

A service to celebrate Rick’s life will be held on Saturday, May 10, 2025, at 11:00 AM in the Trefz & Bowser Funeral Home, Inc., 114 West Main Street, Hummelstown. Visitation will be from 10:00 AM until the time of the service.

In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to the Lewy Body Dementia Association, 912 Killian Hill Road S.W., Lilburn, GA 30047. Online condolences may be shared at www.trefzandbowser.com.

HRFC Announces New Board of Directors and Committee Chairs

MANDATORY CIPP INFORMATION

• ALL players on your roster MUST BE CIPP’d before playing in the Harrisburg 7s Rugby Tournament!

MANDATORY RELEASE / ROSTER FORMS

• Must be filled out in advance of first game, PRIOR TO PLAYING FIRST MATCH OF THEY DAY – NO EXCEPTIONS!
• Please use the roster which may be completed online HERE. One for each team entered. Roster limit twelve (12) per side entered. Under tournament rules players must stay with team they are rostered on throughout competition unless captain of opposing side consents in advance to roster amendment.
• TEAM SCORE SHEETS can be downloaded HERE. These are great for keeping track of match scoring.
