William A. Trethaway passed away on May 1, 2020 at Messiah Village. Born August 17, 1943, in Wilkes Barre, Pennsylvania, he was the son of the late Harold and Louise Trethaway.
He was a graduate of Meyers High School and Wilkes College and earned a Master’s degree from Villanova. He retired from the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation where he worked in airport and highway planning. He enjoyed sports (especially rugby) and was an avid car buff. He was an active member of the Central Pennsylvania Corvette Club and the Antique Automobile Club of America where he served for many years as treasurer of the Hershey Region.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Robert Trethaway and sister, Judith Meiers. He is survived by his sister-in-law, Denise Trethaway and nieces Debra Hicks and Patricia Singelton.
