Harrisburg Rugby Football Club (HRFC) has been without a permanent home for more than 45 years. We have been nomads our entire existence.HRFC had a goal that was initiated many years ago by our Old Boys. The goal was to find a permanent home for HRFC. About 18 months ago, the Club formed a Futures Committee and began a serious search for suitable acreage. We are very excited to tell you that we recently identified a parcel of land that we believe would be a great fit for the clubs new home. Our vision for this property is a long term plan that will result in a rugby facility that will house between two and five pitches. There will be ample parking for players and spectators. The fields will have permanent goal posts and lights for evening practice. There is a large barn on the property that we intend to convert into our Club House. The Club House will eventually have showers, changing rooms and a kitchen. The entire facility will be used for fundraisers, recruitment, tournaments and community activities. The plan is aggressive and bold much like our HRFC guys and girls.
Our club has set aside money over the years for the purchase of land, but we need additional funds to secure and develop this property. This is where you, our Ruby family, can help.
