Congratulations to the West Shore United Boys Team and Coaches!
Coach Sean Robinson sums it up: “The West Shore United Boys Rugby Club traveled to Charlotte, NC this weekend to compete in the High School Boys Rugby National Championship Tournament. Twenty four of the best teams in the Nation received invitations to the tournament to compete in three divisions. West Shore United competed in the Tier 1 Club Division. In our first match we played the #9 team in the country, the 15-3 Missouri State Champion, Kansas City Jr. Blues. We defeated them 32-21 to advance to the semi-finals to face the defending National Champions, The Royal Irish of Indianapolis. The boys played their hearts out, but fell 30-12. The Royal Irish went on to win the National Championship by defeating Granite Bay of Northern California in the finals. West Shore United finished in 4th place to equal our best finish ever at Nationals.
I want to thank all of you that helped to make the trip possible with your generous donations. We couldn’t have done it without your support. Thank you so much!”
